I customized a Google homepage and created a gadget, The Daily Jess (viewable on my Google homepage). I sent it to my email and published it to my blog directory (should be available in 10 days). Played with the other Google tools, but had my most fun adding a calendar to my blog.

I cannot let myself forget Google Scholar!

Playing with FD Toys was fun. I enjoyed making a trading card.

I did not enjoy Flickr so much. I spent much time trying to create a nine square mosaic. As far as I could tell, I did, but continued to get a conflicting message. I need to give it more time and care; however, this is not an option that interests or entertains me. I use Walgreens.com for organizing my pictures.

Although I have changed my URL and blog name for the third time, I have registered. Of course changing the URL offered me another learning experience.

Setting up my own blog has been so much fun--- and time consuming. I want to create something for the long term, so am getting distracted from the assignments. I have actually created two blogs and am learning how to place a blog in a blog. Upon completion of these hours, I plan to use this blog for other purposes.

There is so much to learn!

Pointers from Life Long Learners
7 & ½ Habits

Like many individuals, my most difficult “habit” is scheduling time for fun. I take classes in the evening that are very demanding of my time. I need to set aside time to play and learn how to clear my mind of school work and personal school work in order to immerse my mind in fun.

My easiest habit is goal setting. I have always been a goal setter.

Thing 1

As I mentioned in the Library2Play site, I was working backward. The first time that I logged in I was on the page that said if we had arrived here we were ready to register our blog. I was confused and muddled through steps without understanding. Eventually I got the picture.

I am loving this and have put in many hours in addition to the 23 Things lessons researching for a long term plan that I hope to implement.

Thank you very much for this opportunity. Maybe we can add additional lessons to springboard from here??????
